While it's only been four months since rock mainstay Matteo's Underground Lounge in Boulder City closed up shop, fans of the former concert stop will be happy to know Matteo is back in local music. Italian restaurant Case di Amore, (2850 E. Tropicana Avenue) is teaming up with the former venue owner for his weekly "Matteo's Showcase" starting Nov. 1. While Matteo claims that the showcase will be similar to his former Saturday night showcases in Boulder City, it will also serve as a way to "create a special upscale music scene right in central Las Vegas," he says. Nov. 1 kicks off with The Lucky Cheats and Lady Reiko and the Sin City Prophets, following with other rock acts on Saturday nights. Friday nights are specially reserved for local blues bands.
